Senior Solution Architect (m/f/d)

Powerful standard software such as SAP or PLM often stops exactly where our customers’ real competitive edge begins. At 4Soft, we close these gaps with highly individual Clean-Core Speedboats.

As part of the Avelion Group with around 220 employees, we combine the security of a strong network with the agility of a specialized 55-person company. In our business unit, 30 experts focus on turning complex processes into lean, efficient business applications. We are a long-standing partner at eye level for global market leaders such as BMW, MTU Aero Engines and Osram.

Your Tasks

You are a technical thought leader and strategic sparring partner. You build the bridge between complex industrial processes and excellent software - from the first discovery to a solid architecture and a tangible prototype.

• You identify strategic potential at the customer and turn complex data flows into tools that fit the process precisely and secure real USPs.
• You have a feel for the hidden pains. You are motivated by spotting problems before the customer can name them - and proactively turning your own solution ideas into projects.
• You lead discovery and solution workshops, structure vague requirements and turn them into a viable project picture with clear business value.
• You make innovation tangible fast: You design the architecture and often build the first prototype yourself, for example based on cplace or a greenfield approach.
• You support proposal, demo and decision phases with precise solution design and compelling technical storylines.
• Once a project takes shape, you orchestrate implementation. You bring in the right specialists from our 30-person team and guide them from a subject-matter perspective.
• You stay with your topics beyond go-live and develop solutions strategically to secure our customers’ competitive edge for the long term.

What we are looking for

• You have a strong computer science foundation, ideally with a diploma or master’s degree, and want to combine technical excellence with strategic responsibility.
• You bring substantial, relevant experience in custom software development and in building scalable enterprise applications.
• You know custom software solutions, platforms, integrations or business applications from demanding customer and project contexts - not just from theory.
• You can confidently advise external customers in technology or digitalization initiatives, lead workshops independently and translate vague requirements into viable solution options.
• You love diving deep into processes and win customers over with subject-matter expertise, clear architecture decisions and communication at eye level.
• You enjoy guiding colleagues through a project from a subject-matter perspective, orchestrating specialists and actively sharing your knowledge with the team.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, MVPs, PoCs, demos, cplace, PLM, Java, backend or enterprise software is a plus.
• Very good German and good English round off your profile.
